Capturing moments that matter

Affordable photography in Sussex & Kent

Pet, family & professional shoots

A photography session tailored just for you

There’s nothing off-the-shelf about my shoots — each one is tailored around what you want to achieve, the images you want to create.

So our first consultation might involve me joining you on a dog walk, or reading your child a story, or visiting your business to get a feel for what you do. That way I can fine tune what our session needs to look like, whether it’s on location in Sussex or Kent, or at my studio in Battle.

Please take a look at the FAQs for more detail.

how it works

From consultation to finished photos

1. Pre-shoot

This is the starting point. After we’ve had our initial no-obligation call, we’ll meet. Face-to-face is ideal, but Zoom works too. Once we’ve pinned down what you’re looking for, we’ll choose between a location shoot or a session at my Battle, East Sussex, studio. And I’ll ask you a lot of questions!

2. Photo session

The fun begins! Yes, really — makes no difference if it’s your goofy pet or professional headshots! I’ll ensure you enjoy the process and have a few laughs while I focus on capturing the energy of our session in your images, whether that’s at my studio, on location, or at your business premises.

3. Post-shoot

Now you have to wait — but not for long! It takes me around 14 days to prepare for your first preview. Once again, face-to-face is best so we can shortlist together and I can identify an editing style to match how you want to display your images. This is key, as so much in photography is subjective.

4. Choices, choices!

The last — and often trickiest — bit is when we gather for you to to choose your ultimate must-haves. This can be a challenge, but I can advise and help you decide. Then we’ll confirm the format and soon they’ll be on your wall, in your album, on your business website, or all over social media!

Image options

High-quality digital files, prints and custom keepsakes

You have a range of formats to choose from once you’ve made your final image selection.

Go digital if you’re going to be using your photos for social media or your website, and select a top-quality print or one of my wall art options if they’re destined for display in your home or business. I can also supply presentation boxes and albums, and please just get in touch if you have something else in mind!

I deliver all digital images at a lower resolution suitable for use online, but I do retain the copyright on these so would ask that you credit me as the photographer if they’re in the public domain — for example, on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram or a business website.

If you need higher-res digital images, let me know and we can discuss.

All prints are supplied on lustre paper on 2mm card as standard and start at £50 for 12”x8”, with wall art starting at £150 for a basic framed piece.

Frequently asked questions

It covers a single photography session of around an hour with me at one location. This can be somewhere outdoors — with a mix of backdrops — or at my studio in Battle, East Sussex. Plus I have a mobile studio which I can bring to your home. The £195 also includes a £50 credit to spend on your final images. You can add an extra location for £150, which also includes £50 towards your images.

This is specifically aimed at individuals looking for a headshot for professional use and the £95 includes a shoot at my Battle, East Sussex, studio. Also included are three low-res digital images for use on web and social media, along with basic editing and retouching. I’ll need a £50 non-refundable deposit when you book.

This is a ‘that depends’ question! As many as is feasible, but we’d need to pin down the logistics during our initial call — you can book yours here. The first location shoot is £195; each additional location is £150.

There’s ‘awful’ and there’s ‘awful’! You’d be amazed at the stunning location shots I’ve captured over the years on the dullest days — with or without a bit of rain. However, if the focus of your shoot is sunshine and blue skies — and possibly a specific location some distance away — let’s discuss this in our first call and arrive at a strategy that works for us both. And, it goes without saying, if a full-blown storm is forecast for the day of your location shoot, I’ll of course reschedule. Please see my Business Terms for more details around cancellations.

I’ll ask you for a non-refundable deposit of £50 at the time you make your booking. This confirms your photo shoot.

Around 14 days between our shoot and your initial preview. After that, it’ll depend on how many final photos you choose, and the format. I can, for example, deliver digital images faster than customised wall art!

Yes — from digital through to wall art, they’re all eligible!

Not normally, no. Because photography is a bespoke service, I don’t offer refunds after you have signed off on your photos. See my business terms for full information.
